About Olivet Theological College

A new theological college for the UK

Rooted in Scripture, shaped by Christian formation and committed to preparing people for ministry, mission and faithful service.

Who we are

Theological education for the Church in the UK

Olivet Theological College is a new theological college in the United Kingdom. It is part of the international Olivet Seminary network and operates under Global London College. We provide serious biblical and theological education that is academically disciplined, spiritually formative and connected to the realities of Christian ministry.

Our outlook is both local and international. OTC serves churches and students in the UK while contributing to a wider network committed to theological education, ministry formation and Christian mission.

Our operating institution

Part of Global London College

OTC operates under Global London College, a private UK further-education institution focused on quality teaching, student support and progression. This provides OTC with an established institutional framework for its programmes and student services.

ASIC Premier Institution

Externally reviewed institutional quality

Global London College is accredited by ASIC with Premier Institution status.

Our mission

To equip women and men for faithful Christian service

Our mission is to bring biblical scholarship, theological understanding, spiritual formation and ministry practice together so that students are prepared to serve the Church and engage the world with wisdom, conviction and humility.

Our vision

Knowledge shaped into service

We envision a college where theological learning deepens faith, strengthens Christian leadership and contributes to the mission of the Church in the UK and beyond.

What shapes us

Four commitments at the heart of OTC

01

Biblical scholarship

We encourage careful reading of Scripture, responsible interpretation and thoughtful engagement with Christian theology.

02

Spiritual formation

Academic study is joined with prayer, reflection, Christian character and a life of discipleship.

03

Ministry practice

Students learn to connect theology with leadership, mission, pastoral care and service in real contexts.

04

Global perspective

We prepare students to understand a diverse Church and to serve faithfully across cultures, traditions and communities.

Our academic model

Study at OTC with clearly defined outcomes

OTC teaches a complete three-year undergraduate theology programme with a curriculum designed and benchmarked against FHEQ expectations for undergraduate study across Levels 4, 5 and 6. Students who successfully complete all three years at OTC receive an OTC-issued diploma. Alternatively, students may complete the first two years at OTC and use the guaranteed progression route to a partner university in the United States, where they complete the university's remaining requirements for a university-awarded degree.

Our postgraduate programmes are designed and benchmarked against the FHEQ Level 7 master's degree descriptor and are not currently Ofqual regulated. Completion of the OTC route leads to an OTC-issued certificate. Where a programme has been formally validated by a partner university and a student enrols on that approved route, successful completion leads to a degree awarded by the partner university.

Qualification routes

Clear outcomes for each study route

OTC awards its diploma and certificate for successful completion of the applicable OTC route. Degrees are awarded by the relevant partner university after students complete an approved progression or validated degree route and meet that university's requirements.

Our name

Why “Olivet”?

Olivet refers to the Mount of Olives, a place closely connected with the ministry of Jesus, prayer, teaching and the Christian hope of God's kingdom. The name reflects our desire for education that leads beyond knowledge alone towards faithful witness and service.
